We read 23 emails from 14 big brands. Here is what they have in common.

Before we design emails for a store, we study the brands that already do it well. This time: 23 full emails from 14 brands, including Grüns, Lemme, PrettyLitter, BREZ and RYZE, read top to bottom and measured. Five patterns stood out.

1. They are pictures, not text

All 23 were built mostly from images. Live text was between 9 and 100 words per email, and images covered 70 to 92% of the area. Not one of these brands builds a text-heavy email body.

2. They are short

18 of the 23 had only one or two sections between the top of the email and the footer. The long email with six sections is rare, even from brands with plenty to say.

3. The button comes before the picture

In 16 of 23, the order at the top was the same: headline, one line, button, then the photo. The ask is on the first screen, before anyone has to scroll.

4. A sticker carries the number

9 of 23 put a round badge or starburst on the top image. In 7 it held the offer, like "Free shipping" or "Up to 50% off". The headline stays short because the sticker does the maths.

5. The season comes from real things

Autumn meant real leaves on a studio floor, a latte standing on a real pumpkin, pumpkins and gourds in warm light. None of them used drawn leaves or cartoon pumpkins to say what season it was.

What this means for your store

You do not need a long email to sell. You need one clear idea at the top, a button people see without scrolling, and real photos of your product. That is how we build every email in our gallery.
